Keepin’ Roadways Safe & Truckers Truckin’ for over 50 years!
Ed Zymblosky earned his nickname “Boots” on the very day he was born when his proud father arrived at the hospital with a pair of booties for his new son. The nurses and nuns in the maternity ward were so delighted with this proud father’s gesture that they affectionately named him “Boots”.
Boots always had a fascination with tow trucks and heavy-duty equipment. At the young age of 19, he found a 1957 GMC 1 ton truck he wanted to purchase with the intent of modifying it so that it could be used as a tow truck. His parents were against this venture he was about to embark upon, but he was persistent, and he convinced his mom to loan him the $75.00 that he needed to purchase this truck, and so it began….
That truck, that loan, and his determination afforded him the opportunity to work that truck and earn enough seed money for the opening of Boots & Hanks Towing in 1966. Ove the years, Boots has expanded his business with great success due to his determination, work ethic, and strong focus on customer satisfaction.
To this day, Boots works six days a week alongside his son Eddie. While Eddie knows that his dad’s “boots” are impossible to fill, he has adopted the same work ethic and passion for their business. Eddie has expanded on is dad’s foundation by focusing on selling and sporting heavy-duty truck parts.
Today, Boots & Hanks is a major supplier of new, used and rebuilt truck parts with sales worldwide as well as remains a leader in the tow truck industry with state-of-the-art world class towing and recovery equipment.
